Amazon Cancelled My Order for No Reason

Amazon canceled my order for no reason. For various reasons, Amazon retailers may cancel an order. A seller may need to cancel an order because the item will not be shipped on time or because the item is out of stock or for another reason.

Drop shipping is where an Amazon seller posts items for sale from a supplier without buying the inventory first. They wait for a customer to order then go to the supplier, pay for the item and have the supplier send the item to you. There are times a supplier will say they have a product in their catalog but when a customer actually orders it they are out of stock. Unless the drop-shipper can source the product from another supplier their only option is to cancel your order. Every time an order is canceled in Amazon’s system it is a mark against the seller. If they do this too often the seller’s account could be suspended.

When your order is canceled you will receive an email notifying you of this.
