Amazon order cancellation scam. Do not open a suspicious email about an order cancellation from  Amazon. First, check your account.

If you click any links in the email, you could unintentionally download bad software onto your device or be drive to a site that aims to collect your Amazon account information including your username and password.

If you want to confirm a cancellation of an item ordered through Amazon;

  • Go to Amazon.com. Do not click a link in the email itself!

  • Click “ Your Account” in the upper-right corner.

  • Visit “ Your Orders” and see if an order matches the details for the one in the email.

If you receive a correspondence you think may not be from Amazon, report it to Amazon by sending the email or webpage to  stop-spoofing@amazon.com. To report a phishing or spoofed email or webpage, open a new email and attach the one you suspect is fake.
