How do you set up an Amazon Wishlist to receive gifts sent to a private address? A gift registry is handy to receive gifts for important occasions. You can create one and share the link with family and friends. Each list has a shipping address associated with it. To update your default shipping address, click “Manage List” from the list-menu at the top of your list.

How to set one up;

  • Log into your account at Amazon.com.
  • Hover over “Accounts & Lists” in the upper-right then go to “Create a List.”
  • In the “Create a List” box, select “You.” Select a “Privacy” setting. “Private” means only people with the (URL) link can access it while “Public” means others can.
  • Select “Create List” to add to the “Your Lists” tab. In the upper-right, select “List settings” and then “View details.” Name the list.
  • Select or add the “Shipping Address” you want the items sent to. “Save Changes.”

If you want to keep your address private, don’t enable third-party address sharing. Gift buyers would then need to manually input your shipping address.

If the address-sharing feature is enabled, Amazon.com will send the seller your shipping address and the seller may share this address with the buyer. This isn’t specific to any particular seller.
